TAHDCO Schemes
1. Vetri Thozhil Munaivor Thittam
Eligibility
- Applicant must belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) community.
- Applicant age should be between 18 to 55 years.
- Annual family income should not exceed of Rs.3.00 lakh.
Subsidy Details
- This scheme provides capital subsidy to first-generation entrepreneurs based on the total project cost.
- Subsidy of 35% of the project cost or ₹3.50 lakh, whichever is lower, will be released.
- 6% interest subsidy is also provided.
2. Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojana (PM-AJAY)
Eligibility
- Applicant must belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC).
- Applicant age should be between 18 to 55 years.
- Annual family income should not exceed of Rs.3.00 lakh.
Subsidy Details
- Subsidy of 50% of the project cost or ₹50,000, whichever is lower, will be released.
Condition
- The assets created under the scheme shall be registered only in the name of the beneficiary.
3. Economic Development Scheme for Women Self-Help Groups
Eligibility
- Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.
- The Group should consist of 12 members.
- Age of the group members should be between 18 to 55 years.
- The annual family income of each group member should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.
- The group should be registered with the Mahalir Thittam Office.
Subsidy Details
- Subsidy of 50% of the project cost or Rs.6.00 lakh, whichever is lower, will be provided to the Self-Help Group.
4. Mannin Magal Thittam
Overview
The Mannin Magal Thittam has been implemented with the objective of transforming Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe women agricultural laborers into landowners.
Eligibility
- Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) community.
- Age should be between 18 to 55 years.
- Annual family income should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.
Subsidy Details and Conditions
- Subsidy of 50% of the project cost or 5.00 lakh, whichever is lower, based on the market value of the land, will be provided.
- The land seller must belong to a community other than SC/ST.
- Maximum of 2.5 acres of wetland or 5.00 acres of dryland can be purchased.
- Full exemption from stamp duty and registration charges.
- The land purchased under this scheme shall not be sold by the beneficiary for a period of 10 years.
5. Fast Track Power Supply Scheme
Eligibility
- Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community.
- Annual family income should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh.
Conditions
- The land should be owned by the applicant.
- The land should have a well or borewell.
- The applicant must have applied to the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) for an electricity service connection.
Subsidy Details
- The scheme is implemented by providing 90% Government subsidy and 10% beneficiary contribution, based on the horsepower.

6. Education Loan Scheme
Overview
- Educational loans are being provided to Adi Dravidar and Tribal students for pursuing Professional and Technical courses in India and abroad. The loans are sanctioned at low interest rates through Financial Development Corporations such as NSFDC, NSTFDC and NSKFDC.
- Educational loans are provided to students pursuing full-time courses at very low interest rates.
- Adi Dravidar Students: Educational loan upto Rs.40.00 lakh for pursuing education in India and abroad.
- Tribal Students: Educational loan upto Rs.10.00 lakh for pursuing education in India and abroad.
- Children of Cleanliness Workers: Educational loan up to Rs.10.00 lakh for pursuing education in India and up to Rs.20.00 lakh for pursuing education in abroad.
Eligibility
- The applicant must belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or Dependents o Cleanliness workers.
- The annual family income should not exceed:
- Rs.5.00 lakh for Scheduled caste students.
- Rs.3.00 lakh for Scheduled Tribe students.
- Rs.4.50 lakh for Dependents of Cleanliness Workers.
Rate of Interest
- SC students : 6.5%
- ST Students : 6%
- Dependents of Cleanliness Workers:
- Education in India – 6%
- Education abroad – 7%
- Female students pursuing education in India – 5.5%
- Female students pursuing education abroad – 6.5%
Repayment
- Interest amount must be paid by the student every month from the Sanction of the educational loan.
- After completion of the course, the principal and interest amount shall be repaid in 60 monthly instalments over a period of 5 years, whichever is earlier.

Cleanliness Workers Welfare Board
Application form for registration of membership in Tamil Nadu Sanitation Workers Welfare Board can be obtained from the office of the Corporation / Municipality / Borough / District Manager of the respective district. Applicant. The persons who are eligible for registration as members of this welfare board are sanitation workers. A certificate to that effect should be obtained from the Health Inspector/ Assistant Executive Engineer/ Executive Officer/ Corporation Commissioner/ District Officer and submit the completed application form to the District Manager, TAHDCO. After verifying these applications, District Manager, TAHDCO members are issued Smart card.
