Chief Minister’s Solar Powered Green House Scheme (CMSPGHS)

The Chief Minister’s Solar Powered Green House Scheme (CMSPGHS) was launched during the year 2011-12. It is a flagship scheme of Government of Tamil Nadu, which fulfills the Housing requirement of the rural poor people along with Solar Powered Home Lighting System and thereby promoting green energy and probably a fore runner for ”Housing for all”.

• 100% State sponsored scheme.
• Aims at providing SOLAR POWERED GREEN HOUSE for the poor living “Below Poverty Line” in rural areas.
• Unit Cost – Rs.2.10 Lakh
• For House – Rs.1.80 Lakh
• For Solar system – Rs.30,000/-
• Area of each house – 300 Sq.ft.
